My doctoral research focuses on quantifying human bone variation at clinically relevant joints. This knowledge, in turn, can be used to assess the biomechanical implications of joint variation for clinical applications such as the treatment of osteoarthritis. In addition to my interests surrounding modern human skeletal variation, I also have interests in the field of bioarchaeology, particularly regarding historical bioarchaeology and palaeopathology. I have previously undertaken and continue to undertake research in the areas of metabolic and substance use impacts on bone biomechanics and geometry, as well as theoretical approaches to holistically considering the experiences of disabled people in the past.
